CHR. GRAESSLER (SUHL) 16-BORE LEFAUCHEUX PATENT UNDERLEVER HAMMERGUN, no visible serial number, circa 1880, 30 3/8in. nitro reproved twist barrels (in 1993), wave cut rib with banner engraved 'CHr. GRAESSLER. SUHL', and with gold line detail at the breech end, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 choke in both, wall thicknesses at 18, some dents and rivelling, carved percussion fences, non-rebounding back-action locks, permanently-attached fore-end with horn encased Lefaucheux patent forward facing underlever and steel finial lock, set front trigger, ornate horn triggerguard and pistolgrip tang, carved game scene vignettes of hound , hare, stag and boar, with occasional gold inlaid detailing, brushed bright and reblued finish, 13 1/2in. well-figured stock with cheekpiece, sling swivels and steel buttplate, weight 5lb. 15oz., in a canvas and leather fleece lined slip (strap missing stud)
